By accessing or using Notepadly ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all features including the notepad editor, cloud sync, note sharing, export tools, and standalone text utilities.
Description of Service
Notepadly is a free online notepad service that allows users to create, edit, organize, and share text notes. Features include:

- Browser-based text editing with auto-save
- Multiple notes with tabbed interface
- Find & replace with regex support
- Customizable fonts, colors, and themes
Cloud Sync & Sharing
- Optional Google sign-in with sync
- Shareable links with read/edit access
- Configurable link expiry
- Export to TXT, PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, HTML, Markdown
User Accounts
Guest Usage
You can use Notepadly without creating an account. Notes will be stored locally in your browser.
Registered Accounts
Sign in with Google for cloud sync and sharing features. You are responsible for maintaining your account security.
User Content & Ownership
You Own Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to the content you create in Notepadly. We do not claim ownership of your notes.
By using cloud sync and sharing, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, transmit, and display your content solely for providing the Service. This license terminates when you delete your content or account.

- Ensure you have rights to share the content
- Choose appropriate expiry settings
Important Notes
- Anyone with the link can access shared notes
- Editable links allow anyone to modify content
- We cannot recover content modified by others
Data and Backups
Local Storage
Data stored locally is your responsibility. Clearing browser data will affect access to locally stored notes. We strongly recommend enabling cloud sync or regularly exporting backups.
Cloud Storage
While we make reasonable efforts to protect cloud-stored data, we recommend regularly backing up important notes using File → Backup All Notes. We are not liable for data loss.

8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by Notepadly and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.
9. Free Service & Future Changes
Notepadly is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or modify the free tier in the future with reasonable notice.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NOTEPADLY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Notepadly from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access at any time for conduct that violates these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, contact us at the email below.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India.
